CANDLE WORKSHOP

In this four-week workshop we are hand-dipping prayer candles for workshop production.  The goal of this workshop is experiential: to collaborate in handmade work.  The work is open to adults of all abilities.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
We will move through the whole process of melting and cleaning the raw beeswax, choosing correct wick, wicking the candle frames, hand-dipping the tapers, measuring with calipers, cleaning the tapers off the frames, weighing and wrapping the finished candles.  
On MONDAYS, we will prepare the frames, dip the tapers, and melt the frames.
On TUESDAYS, we will cut the tapers off the frames, weigh, trim, and wrap the candles.  At the end of the day on Tuesday, take home a bundle of 12 prayer candles.

Tea break included as part of the afternoon.  Recommended to bring an apron, and wear clothes that may get waxy.
Fee:  $50 PER DAY PER PERSON
